Smoking in Pregnancy Project Report: June 2012<br />
In order to be considered as a pilot site for this option the pilot site must:<br />

addressing smoking in pregnancy is a priority<br />
(identified by higher than average SATOD)<br />
Have an identified strategic lead /<br />
commissioner to take the lead on<br />
the project for the pilot site<br />
Have appropriate permission and<br />
commitment from the commissioner(s)<br />
(as required) LSSS / Maternity services<br />
to be a pilot site<br />
Have an identified maternity services lead<br />
with responsibilities for reducing smoking<br />
in pregnancy ( or identified champion in<br />
maternity services)<br />
Have an identified service provider<br />
– manager / coordinator with responsibility<br />
for the provision of the smoking in<br />
pregnancy service<br />
Be able to ensure that communication<br />
links with the LMC are in place and identify<br />
an appropriate GP lead / PCT lead responsible<br />
for implementing GP actions<br />
Be able to identify a Health Visitor lead<br />
with responsibilities for implementing<br />
the health visitor actions within the<br />
implementation plan<br />
Be able to identify a LPC lead<br />
Partnership working<br />
Have established effective working<br />
relationships with all partners commissioners,<br />
maternity services and LSSS, LPC, LMC<br />
Have in place effective communication links<br />
to all partners i.e. commissioners, maternity<br />
services, LSSS, LPC, LMC<br />
