This galvanised 31,800 litre <strong>tank</strong> is used<br />
as a fire fighting <strong>water</strong> <strong>storage</strong> <strong>tank</strong> at a<br />
school. The client requested a green<br />
external finish to blend in with the<br />
surrounding area.<br />
The <strong>tank</strong> is fitted with an immersion<br />
heater and all required ancillaries in<br />
accordance with LPS 1276 including<br />
contents gauge, drain valve, hinged float<br />
valve chamber, side entry manway,<br />
<strong>Balmoral</strong> FireFlow vortex inhibitor and<br />
float valve.<br />
The external ladder and handrail are<br />
manufactured in compliance with<br />
BS4211 which includes kick plate and a<br />
self-closing gate at the top of the caged<br />
ladder. Level switches are fitted for high<br />
and low level readings that are<br />
transmitted to a BMS system.<br />
Installation of the <strong>tank</strong> was carried out<br />
by <strong>Balmoral</strong> AIRS approved erectors.<br />
