GFS <strong>tank</strong>s<br />
Covers and roofing<br />
<strong>Balmoral</strong> Tanks offers flat and project-specific roof and cover<br />
options. The company would be pleased to advise on the<br />
optimum choice from PVC, domed, trough deck, single/double<br />
membrane and GFS options.<br />
Coatings and finishes<br />
All panel exteriors are glass fused to steel finished in a range of<br />
colours: RAL 5013, 6006, 6028 and 7004 options are supplied<br />
as standard.<br />
Installation<br />
<strong>Balmoral</strong> GFS <strong>tank</strong>s are typically installed by <strong>Balmoral</strong>’s dedicated<br />
installation team using a proven hydraulic jack system. The upper<br />
ring and cover are fitted first and then jacked up using <strong>Balmoral</strong>’s<br />
proprietary system allowing <strong>tank</strong>s to be built quickly to maximum<br />
height with minimum health and safety risk.<br />
These <strong>tank</strong>s are designed to be installed on pre-prepared concrete<br />
foundations but can be supplied with a GFS base or cone where<br />
specified.<br />
Pipe connections and fittings<br />
The majority of pipe connections are made at <strong>Balmoral</strong> Tanks’<br />
factory. The type of connection should be specified together<br />
with the relevant standard to which the coupling flanges are<br />
drilled or the pipes screwed.<br />
Ancillary equipment includes ladders, walkways and<br />
platforms, manways, ladders, vortex inhibitors, viewports and<br />
level indicators.<br />
