Key Clubbers of the Florida District, Hello, I am Zac Schroepfer ,your District Conference Chair for this year, and I wanted to congratulate the whole district on reaching record registration numbers with over 1975 people registered! This DCON is sure to be a memorable one in this history of the Florida District! Now that registration is closed, it is important to take advantage of all the opportunities you and your club are eligible for at DCON. The first opportunity that you can take advantage of is to participate in the Eliminate Walk of Fame. #FLKCDCON2015 6 6 Rosen Shingle Creek Resort April 9th-11th
Do you want to save and protect approximately 5.5 lives? You can do that by registering to participate in this fundraiser for The Eliminate Project. Pay $10 in advance so you are guaranteed a shirt and have the opportunity to participate in the last annual DCON Eliminate Project Walk. Sign up at DCON will be $15. Also, there are a variety of contests to participate in at DCON. You can be apart of the talent show, the oratorical contests, scrapbook contests, t-shirt design contest, and much more! REGISTRATION Based on feedback we received last year regarding meal options for Thursday night, we have arranged to have food available during registration times. In order to make registration and check-in as stress free as possible, we are implementing a few different procedures at this year’s DCON. See the below list to be well informed about how this will go this year. 1. If you are riding a bus to DCON, your bus will pull up in the bus line near the restaurants. You will then wait on your bus until a House Committee member unloads your bus and gives you some instructions. At this point, all students can get off the bus, grab their luggage, and enter the hotel. 2. If your school submitted Code of Conduct and Medical Release forms in advance of arriving at DCON, There will be a special express line for you. If you did not submit your forms in advance, there will be several well-staffed lines to try to get you through the registration process as quickly as possible. 7
