S~CTION 3 - COURSES<br />
3.1 The course shall be clearly mar;ed. As a minimum, all turns shall be<br />
defined by course markers, preferably plystic cones (pylons).<br />
3.2 There shall be a clearly dravm map of the course available to all contestants<br />
at nll times during an event.<br />
3.3 Courses shall be laid out so that all competing cars can negotiate them in<br />
the same manner.<br />
3.4 The width of "gates" (pylons side by side between which cars must pass)<br />
shall be a minimum of eight feet.<br />
3.5 The location of all~pylons shall be marked on the ground so that they can<br />
be replaced in their exact locations if displaced.<br />
3.6 Displaced pylons must be replaced prior to the next competitor!& run.<br />
3.7 No start (or finish) shall be used wherein the driver is not in the car<br />
with his seatbelt fastened securely.<br />
3.8 Flying finishes shall not be used unless there is sufficient room for any<br />
competing car to stop with complete safety (without a "panic" stop).<br />

3.9 No course layout shall intentionally require the use~reverse gear the<br />
exception being the loss of all forward gears.<br />
