This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialised team at Nelson<br />
Public Libraries. The team takes pride in providing in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />
<strong>and</strong> research services to the Nelson community. It's a chance<br />
to interact with customers <strong>and</strong> share new technology, publications<br />
<strong>and</strong> resources.<br />
The role also takes particular responsibility <strong>for</strong> interloans. This is<br />
a pr<strong>of</strong>essional library role but applications will also be considered<br />
from those studying towards a degree or post graduate degree in<br />
librarianship.<br />
You will have the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> ensuring excellent customer<br />
service to diverse customers <strong>and</strong> community groups. It's a chance<br />
to answer questions, <strong>and</strong> help your community access in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />
This is a part-time position, working on average 24 hours per<br />
week, on weekdays <strong>and</strong> rostered weekends in the Elma Turner<br />

Study Director - Part time (Fixed Term)<br />

We are seeking a motivated <strong>and</strong> highly organised person <strong>for</strong> the<br />
position <strong>of</strong> Study Director to oversee the operation <strong>and</strong> management<br />
<strong>of</strong> a large cross-sectional study <strong>of</strong> the possible health effects<br />
<strong>of</strong> chronic hydrogen sulphide exposure in Rotorua. The Study<br />
Director will be based in Wellington but will need to travel to<br />
Rotorua.<br />
Duties will include the recruitment <strong>of</strong> an appropriate team to<br />
carry out fieldwork in Rotorua, obtaining ethics committee approval<br />
in NZ, facilitating the recruitment <strong>and</strong> processing <strong>of</strong> 1800<br />
study participants over the 3 years <strong>of</strong> fieldwork, maintaining upto-date<br />
study documentation, ensuring that the study costs are<br />
within the budget <strong>and</strong> managing the compilation <strong>of</strong> a complete<br />
<strong>and</strong> accurate study database, ready <strong>for</strong> analysis.<br />
This is part time 0.5 FTE fixed term three-year position.<br />
