Fulltime 1year <strong>Research</strong> Officer Position<br />
Applications are invited <strong>for</strong> a Fulltime 1year position in the<br />
Malaghan Institute <strong>of</strong> Medical <strong>Research</strong> <strong>for</strong> immediate start.<br />
The Malaghan Institute is based in Wellington at the Kelburn Campus<br />
<strong>of</strong> Victoria University. Previous experience <strong>of</strong> research laboratory<br />
environment, ability to work independently <strong>and</strong> attention to detail<br />
are essential. Successful applicant will be responsible to the Infectious<br />
Diseases Group working on a rotavirus strain surveillance<br />
project. Experience in RTPCR, cell culture <strong>and</strong> assay development<br />
would be an advantage. Duties will include coordinating sample collection<br />
across multiple centres, record keeping, data analysis <strong>and</strong><br />
general lab support. C<strong>and</strong>idates should hold suitable qualification in<br />
biological sciences (BSc(Hons), MSc, BMedSci) <strong>and</strong>/or have proven<br />
laboratory experience.<br />
