October and the time keeps marching on! Getting older
must make that process more noticeable. The warm days
really stopped abruptly this year and we are already dealing
with brilliant colors and frost on our gardens and plants. We
better start getting ready for our favorite season of the
year.
Not much to report since last months letter. Brushing day
is coming up Saturday, October 16th. Meet at the groomer
barn at 9:00 am. We will have a social hour that evening at
the New Twilight Bar & Grill to help soothe our aching
bones......maybe a lot of young people will come out this
year to give us oldies but goodies a little break? Please
come out if you can - it sure makes the day go faster with
more people.
Our driver staff will be getting together soon for orientation.
All of our equipment is ready to go, the brush hog is
mounted and ready to go to work on the trails - I hope all
goes well with that.
Until next month, let's keep our thoughts on a great 2010
- 2011 snow season. See you all on the 16th!

Fall is definitely in the air and we all know what that
means… snowmobile season is right around the corner. My
sons are already working on our snowmobiles to get them in
tip-top running order and doing all the pre-ride checks to
them. Needless to say… we can’t wait for the snow to fall
and the trails to open.
Last fall our family joined in the trail clean-up and it was
some great family time together. I would strongly encourage
all our families to join us this year. It’s a lot of fun and the
pizza party at Twilight afterwards is a great way to meet
your fellow snowmobilers.

27&28: SNOWMOBILE SAFETY CLASS
Snowmobile Safety
Education Class
December 27 & 28, 2010
Beginning January 1, 2001, any person born on or after
January 1, 1985 and who has reached the age of 12, must
have completed and received a snowmobile safety certificate
in order to operate a snowmobile in Wisconsin. The certificate
must be carried while operating the snowmobile, and
displayed to a law enforcement officer upon demand. Snowmobile
Safety Education Classes are offered in the fall and
early winter, and should start appearing on the DNR’s web
site within the next month or so.
The Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club’s Snowmobile Safety Education
Class will be held on Monday and Tuesday, December
27 & 28, 2010. Anyone 11 years of age or older is eligible to
take the class and receive a safety education certificate;
however, the certificate does not become valid until the child
reaches 12 years of age. More details will be announced in
an upcoming newsletter.
