switching valve<br />
eliminates long downtimes associated with column<br />
changes. Use the valve as a bypass valve to supply<br />
continuous carrier gas to the MS while changing a<br />
column in a single injector system or to switch between<br />
two columns from two injection ports to one MS.<br />
The <strong>GC</strong>/MS switching valve is easy to install. Simply<br />
place the valve directly in the <strong>GC</strong> oven, connect the<br />
capillary columns and transfer lines to the appropriately<br />
labeled ports and the valve is ready to use.<br />

The ms-NoVent is<br />
a fluidic valve that can<br />
be retrofitted to any <strong>GC</strong><br />
mass spectrometer. It<br />

allows column changeover without the need to vent the<br />
MS resulting in a time saving of 6-12 hours. The unique<br />
design ensures a helium purge maintains a positive flow<br />
from the valve, to the atmosphere, when a column is not<br />
connected. Certain <strong>GC</strong>/MS models require a restrictor to<br />
be ordered separately at right.<br />
