Four Adventures in One<br />

Free Spirit Software has released<br />

Mojf<strong>at</strong>t 's Adventure Disk #2, a collec<br />

tion of four text adventures for the<br />

Commodore 64.<br />

In the first game. Temporal, the<br />

player's charac is hit in the head with<br />

a brick, sending him into a surrealistic<br />

world. The object of the game is to re<br />

turn to reality.<br />

An old western town is the setting<br />

for West, the second text adventure.<br />

The player controls a character th<strong>at</strong> ar<br />

rives as a stranger in town. The sheriff<br />

deputizes the character <strong>and</strong> then directs<br />

him to capture the evil Black Bart.<br />

In De<strong>at</strong>h Valley, the player's char<br />

acter is str<strong>and</strong>ed in the desert without<br />

food or w<strong>at</strong>er. Using survival tech<br />

niques, the player must return to<br />

civiliz<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />

A group of spies have set up head<br />

quarters on a remote isl<strong>and</strong> in The<br />

Lighthouse, the fourth adventure on the<br />

Commodore Gallops into<br />

PC Market<br />

Commodore Business Machines has in<br />

troduced an IBM PC XT-comp<strong>at</strong>ible<br />

system called the Commodore Colt.<br />

This exp<strong>and</strong>able personal computer<br />

comes bundled with a custom version<br />

of Micropro's WordStar/Colt, a word<br />

processing program.<br />

The Colt fe<strong>at</strong>ures an 8088 micro<br />

processor, 640K of RAM. <strong>and</strong> two 5'/»-<br />

inch floppy drives. The computer comes<br />

with built-in graphics adapters, video<br />

<strong>and</strong> mouse interfaces, <strong>and</strong> parallel <strong>and</strong><br />

serial ports. A full-size keyboard is also<br />

included. In addition to WordStar/Colt,<br />

the computer comes with MS-DOS 3.2<br />

<strong>and</strong> GW-BASIC.<br />

The Colt is Commodore's first IBM PC<br />

XT-comp<strong>at</strong>ible system.<br />

The Colt also has three full-length.<br />

PC XT-comp<strong>at</strong>ible slots for hardware<br />

expansion. The Colt fe<strong>at</strong>ures an 8087<br />

Sesame Street<br />

Hi Tech Expressions has released sever<br />

al new titles in its Sesame Street line of<br />

educ<strong>at</strong>ional software for preschoolers.<br />

The Sesame Street Print Kit is a<br />

print program fe<strong>at</strong>uring the Sesame<br />

Street characters. <strong>You</strong> can design <strong>and</strong><br />

print cards, signs, storybooks, invita<br />

tions, <strong>and</strong> banners. Fe<strong>at</strong>ures include a<br />

line-by-line text editor <strong>and</strong> seven type<br />

faces in three sizes with boldface, italics,<br />

shadow, <strong>and</strong> outline effects. Graphics<br />

from Hi Tech's Print Power are comp<strong>at</strong>i<br />

ble with the Sesame Street Print Kit <strong>and</strong><br />

provide more printing options.<br />
