Discussion and Action on Non-Renewal of Non-Tenured Teachers<br />
DISCUSSION: Superintendent Merlone explained that she provided the Board Chair with a list of year 1 and year 2<br />
teachers for non-renewal in case the city gives the Board of Education a 0% increase for the 2010-2011 school year.<br />
She said she gave written notice to all the teachers indicating that she was going to inform the Board of projected nonrenewals.<br />
Mr. Lawlor added that by notifying all non-tenured teachers by March 31 st we are protecting ourselves. Our<br />
budget will not be set until May 17 th .<br />
