Option 7 – Move Eating Disorders to New Extension; Children & Younger Adolescents into
Modified Irwin Ward; Modify Acute Assessment & HDU (Ashfield) and Older Adolescents
(Heathlands)
Finally, option 6 comprises the following works and moves:

New first floor extension at Parkview constructed;
Acute Assessment & HDU to move to first floor extension whilst Ashfield Ward is
modified, and then move back;
Older Adolescents to move to first floor extension whilst Heathlands is modified, and
then move back;
Eating Disorders to move from Irwin Ward to the new extension permanently, and
Irwin Ward to be modified; and
Children & Younger Adolescents to move from Steelhouse Lane to Irwin Ward at
Parkview.
Overall, this option delivers 44 beds, all of which are provided from single bedrooms.
