vconverter LCU
LED converter with constant voltage. The Tconverter LCU range
offers high reliability, outstanding functionality and state-of-the-art
technology such as the new tunable white function. Depending on the
version, the LCU products can be installed in luminaires or as separate
devices outside the luminaire – with no need for an additional cover.
Versions with IP67 protection are available for output voltages of 8 V,
12 V and 24 V and are perfectly matched to your outdoor LED lighting.
For indoor applications we have developed converters for 12 V and
24 V constant voltage in IP20 protection.
vconverter LCI
LED converter with constant current: In demanding applications the
Tconverter LCI will operate your LED modules with a constant
current of 350 mA or 700 mA, constant or dimmable. Converters with
constant current are versatile. They are available in Remote and In-Built
versions and even the casing materials have been matched to the
specific areas of application. The converter is the ideal component for
pioneering system solutions. The thermally stable device ensures that
the LED modules provide long life and optimum performance. The cable
clamp does not require any tools, so installation is simple.
A guaranteed future
More than 250 people currently work in our research and
development departments on the products of tomorrow.
All Tridonic patents are secure. Our solutions comply with
the electrical and mechanical standards of the luminaire
industry and guarantee mutual compatibilityand futureproofing
of our LED products.
Certified safety
The renowned high reliability of Tridonic products is
continued in the LED product range. The LED converters
and controllers for example carry ENEC certificates and
meet all the requirements of SELV and EN 55015. The
Intelligent Temperature Guard provides reliable protection
against overheating, allowing the Tconverter and
Tcontrol to achieve lifetime figures of at least
50,000 hours. We guarantee all this for at least five years.
A product range for individual requirements
To take full advantage of the benefits of LEDs, Tridonic
has developed converters and controllers to cover all
the various requirements of the market. This means you
can rest assured that you will find the perfect device to
meet your needs in terms of functionality, performance
and design. The converters are perfectly matched to your
and our LED products. During development work great
importance was therefore attached not only to achieving
the usual high quality but also to ensuring compatibility.
The one4all converter with integrated interfaces such as
DSI and DALI is just one example. Converters for controllable
and dimmable colour temperatures round off the
T range.

vconverter EMERGENCY
Tridonic offers a wide range of emergency lighting units for LEDs, with different
operating times and test procedures. EM powerLED devices cover
a wide range of applications and, in contrast to many other products, can
be used in normal ac mode and emergency lighting mode. There are 1 W,
2 W, and 4 W versions, plus a 10 W version for reflector lamps and LED
spotlights. The PRO version of the compact DALI device can be dimmed
in normal operation from 100 % to 10 %. EM converterLED devices are
suitable as SELV or non-SELV versions for LED modules in the mid to
high output range. They can be combined with standard or dimmable
converters for continuous operation.
vcontrol
LED controllers. When you need precise and reliable control commands
for your LED solution then Tridonic has the right equipment for
you. Changing colours, varying brightness and playing preprogrammed
lighting scenes are all performed as smoothly as connecting multiple
LEDs via an amplifier or converting constant voltage into constant
current.

The converters with integrated interfaces simplify
installation and commissioning and reduce your
warehousing costs. Strain relief (one4all) and terminal
covers mean that the units can be installed quickly
without the need for tools, through-wiring also saves
you installation time. Intelligent functions such as
the corridorFUNCTION offer high potential energy
savings. Therefore, this function reduces energy
consumption to those times in which light is actually
used.

With T LED emergency lighting units your emergency
lighting system would be in an ideal position to
be integrated in intelligent systems. Emergency lighting
times of one, two or more hours comply with the prescribed
standards. Simple installation, commissioning

operating times. The reduced battery temperature and

Added value
Tconverter one4all units with their universal
interface enables you to determine the type of dimming
yourself. One and the same device can therefore provide
the basis for convenient and versatile LED lighting
solutions. This will increase your flexibility, simplify
logistics and production, and therefore reduce your
costs for handling and storage.
corridorFUNCTION
Energy savings coupled with convenience
Converters with the corridorFUNCTION only produce
light when it is needed. The required lighting level is
provided as soon as the first person enters the room
and reduced after the last person has left the room.
Thanks to simple motion sensors and combinations of
motion sensors and daylight sensors, there is no longer
any need to be in the dark. Converters from Tridonic
make saving energy and reducing costs child’s play.
Whether and when the lighting is completely switched
off depends on the selected operating device and customer
requirements.

chronoSTEP
An efficient step ahead
The chronoSTEP function allows to significantly cut
energy consumption and costs, as the converter reduces
the lighting level during non-busy periods. The
lighting level at night, for instance, can be reduced to a
minimum. In the process, the relevant parameters can
be defined as required, depending on the application.
Tunable white*
a variety of shades for every mood
A dynamic colour temperature offers you and your customers
many benefits. You can guarantee the right LED
lighting at any time of day or night. Changing merchandise
displays, light-sensitive works of art and a wide
range of buildings can all be presented in the right light.
LED solutions with tunable colour temperatures can also
be synchronised with our internal body clocks in imitation
of nature, giving us the right signals for relaxation or
activity over the course of the day.

Intelligent Temperature Guard
The converter temperature is constantly monitored to
protect it from thermal damage. If it overheats then the
dimming level is reduced – this takes place in very small
stages so the user hardly notices anything.
Intelligent Temperature Management (ITM)
The converter is connected with a temperature sensor
installed on the LED module, ensuring that the latter is
protected against overheating.
Excellent safety at all levels
High quality and reliability are the starting points for our
product development work, which is why Tridonic converters
have a particularly long life at maximum luminous
flux. The key is the stable thermal behaviour. Narrow
tolerances of just ±5 % ensure high reliability, excellent
safety and consistent compliance with safety extra low
voltage (SELV) for LED applications.
