Staff Appointments THE Marketing and Fundraising Department has welcomed several new members to the team. Edward Hornery is the new Community Development Officer. Edward has been working for the Friendship Bank program in a casual capacity over the last nine months. In his new position, he will be visiting more Friendship Bank supporters. Friendship Bank is a terrific way to support the League on your own terms. Simply place a collection tin in your home or office and put your loose change and notes in it. A collector will visit you every six months, collect the contents of your tin and then issue a receipt for your donation...it’s that simple! Nicola Payne has taken over the role of Events and Sponsorship Coordinator. Nicola has a diverse background in media, events and sponsorship and is looking forward to expanding the League’s current activities. The League has a number of events throughout the year, including Art for Art’s Sake, Conrad Treasury Boardroom Blitz and the Colour Your Day Appeal. Cathie Pilton has been appointed Community Relationships Officer. Cathie has been employed with the Marketing and Fundraising Department for the last four years as an Administration Officer. She is now looking forward to encouraging more Queenslanders to donate through the Payroll Donations program. Payroll donations are an easy and tax effective way for people to donate to the League. Ultimately, no matter how you choose to support the League, you will make a difference to the lives of people with cerebral palsy.
