Mission Statement<br />

The Electronic Device Failure Analysis Society (<strong>EDFAS</strong>)<br />

fosters education and communication in the failure analysis<br />

community, working for technology advancement and the<br />

improved performance and reliability of devices and<br />

materials for the electronic industry. The <strong>EDFAS</strong> Board<br />

and Committees work in concert to meet the needs of its<br />

growing membership base.


Structure<br />

• <strong>EDFAS</strong> is an affiliate society of ASM<br />

– <strong>EDFAS</strong> governed by a Board of Directors<br />

– <strong>EDFAS</strong> president reports to ASM Trustees<br />

• ASM membership is NOT required for <strong>EDFAS</strong><br />

members<br />

– only ASM affiliate society with this option<br />

– membership included with ISTFA registration<br />

• Committees used to implement <strong>EDFAS</strong> programs<br />

– Event, Education, Membership, Website, EDFA,<br />

Publications, Nominations

the 5+ year minimum of ASM membership for consideration of certain<br />

awards
