Kristin L. Caborn, CPRP, FCP<br />
Deputy Project Manager; Park Planning/Operations Lead; Public Involvement<br />
for capital improvements. Public input was obtained through focus group meetings, a public<br />
meeting, and an <strong>Atkins</strong>-developed Web-based survey.<br />
Ms. Caborn’s previous experience includes:<br />
Parks and Recreation Director, City of St. Cloud, St. Cloud, Florida. Ms. Caborn served<br />
as the parks and recreation department head of one of the City of St. Cloud’s largest departments.<br />
Her responsibilities included: Planning/ Construction- Managed a multi-million dollar<br />
capital improvement program; researched, wrote, and administered grants; and oversaw<br />
parks planning and construction projects. Public Relations/Management- managed a department<br />
with staff in four divisions: parks (maintenance, planning, and construction), recreation<br />
(programming and facility management), aquatics (pool management and programming), and<br />
beautification (horticulture, arboriculture, and tree maintenance). Ms. Caborn has extensive<br />
public speaking experience, including facilitating public hearings and giving presentations to<br />
<strong>com</strong>munity groups. The position involved strong understanding of local government politics<br />
and procedures and accountability for taxpayer dollars.<br />
