Mr. Del Valle has 40 years of experience in providing surveying services for public and private<br />
projects throughout Florida. His experience includes aerial photogrammetric, boundary, bathymetric,<br />
design, geodetic, hydrographic, section, and transportation-related survey work.<br />
Mr. Del Valle’s relevant project experience includes:<br />
Districtwide Right-of-Way Mapping and Surveying Services, Florida Department of<br />
Transportation [FDOT] District Six, Florida. Mr. Del Valle participated in various right-of-way<br />
surveys for several aerial mapping projects in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.<br />
He was responsible for directing the daily operations of all office and field personnel on a wide<br />
variety of projects ranging from construction layout work for subdivisions to design surveys.<br />
This contract involved miscellaneous surveying and mapping services for a wide range of assignments<br />
including platting, right-of-way mapping and surveying, legal descriptions, and establishing<br />
horizontal control networks involving GPS surveys.<br />
U.S. Southern Command (SouthCom) Headquarters Design-Build, SouthCom, Doral,<br />
Florida. As surveyor, Mr. Del Valle’s services included boundary and topographic survey to be<br />
used for design purposes, platting, preparation of easement documents for utilities servicing<br />
the site, and establishment of horizontal and vertical control for construction and preparation of<br />
as-built drawings. The project involves providing 630,000 sf of LEED Silver certified office space<br />
and ac<strong>com</strong>modations for 2,800 personnel, the new facilities will enable all SouthCom activities<br />
to be consolidated into one <strong>com</strong>plex. The 55-acre facility <strong>com</strong>plex consists of three main<br />
buildings and three outbuildings (including two guardhouses and a visitor processing center), as<br />
well as parking for over 2,500 vehicles. Additional features include a child development center,<br />
fitness center, and warehouse.<br />
Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail, Design and Permitting Services, Florida<br />
Department of Environmental Protection [FDEP], Key Largo, Florida. This project<br />
involves topographic survey and site boundary confirmation; environmental site assessment<br />
for the potential presence of threatened and endangered species; level I contamination assessment<br />
technical memorandum; overall concept design; and landscape design based on FDOT<br />
guidelines. Additional services that will be provided include architectural design services for a<br />
restroom building; coordination with the Florida State Historic Preservation (SHIP) Officer to<br />
investigate and document archaeological resources that may exist in the project area; review of<br />
design plans for consistency with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); coordination with<br />
local utilities; and preparation of bid documents.<br />
Wolfson 2000 Building Survey Services, Miami, Florida (Miami Dade College). As<br />
project manager, Mr. Del Valle led a field survey of the area surrounding the Building 2000<br />
site on the Wolfson Campus. Services provided included a topographic survey of the property<br />
including recovery of horizontal and vertical survey control to the extent required to meet the<br />
project objective as well as locate all visible surface improvements. Upon <strong>com</strong>pletion of the field<br />
survey, a survey map and report were created.<br />
Miami International Airport’s (MIA) Runway 12/30 Extension, Miami, Florida (Aerial<br />
Cartographics of <strong>America</strong>, <strong>Inc</strong>.). Supervised the topographic, horizontal, and vertical control<br />
surveys, as well as the striping and construction layout services to pave and strengthen the<br />
runways and aprons. Also supervised global positioning system (GPS)-related surveying and<br />
placement of ground control at MIA as part of the facility’s 2001– 2002 aerial mapping and<br />
inventory.<br />
