The Father Christmas Festival<br />

Enjoy the warmth and hospitality of Mahone Bay’s 11th Annual Father Christmas<br />
Festival. The festival reminds us of days gone by and truly captures the spirit of<br />
Christmas. The festival officially opens Friday night with the annual tree-lighting<br />
ceremony at the town bandstand. Bring your lanterns and enjoy our beloved<br />
bell-ringers and carolers as Father Christmas joins in the fun and leads everyone<br />
to the Mahone Bay Centre for hot cocoa and music. All at no charge.<br />

Everything you need for the holidays can be purchased at our beautiful<br />
shops, all decked out in fresh greenery and lights.<br />
Christmas carolers and the Bayview Mouse Choir stroll the streets, 100<br />
hand-crafted, life-size Father Christmas figures adorn the town, family-friendly<br />
activities such as gingerbread and Charlie Brown Christmas tree decorating will keep<br />
the kids happy, the Yuletide Market at the Suttles and Seawinds Barn is a delight to<br />
the senses and is the place to sample and buy sweets, puddings, pastries, condiments,<br />
wine and more. You will find goodies to fill every stocking. The kids will love<br />
roasting marshmallows and drinking hot apple cider outside the barn. Every year<br />
the barn loft is lovingly transformed into an enchanted, magical world by many<br />
talented volunteers.<br />
