Devoted to Jazz Ismailia with the friendly service manager at Jimisar. The year of 2005 is one of significant change for Mr. Ismailia, a 39-year old primary school teacher of Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics, and Science. In addition to embracing a complete change in lifestyle, participating and falling in love with virtually every outdoor activity, which he used to shy from, Mr. Ismailia also bought the car of his dreams during that year, a Honda Jazz. “A friend of mine had introduced the Honda Jazz to me, and I fell in love with it instantly. Unfortunately, like many, I had the impression that Honda was expensive, and was initially hesitant in purchasing it. I visited this Honda dealership (Jimisar Corporation Sdn Bhd) and was surprised that they approved my loan application for the purchase of the Jazz,” said Mr. Ismailia. He added, “I simply love my Honda Jazz! It’s smooth to drive, light and easy to handle, has good suspension, plus is very economical on fuel too. An eight or nine hour drive back to my home town, located about 700km away, requires me to refuel only once. I’ve yet to experience any problems with my Jazz.” A big fan of the active lifestyle – “The Honda Jazz gets a definite two thumbs up from me. If I had three thumbs, I’ll give it three!” Ismailia including sports like trekking, climbing and kayaking – and the teacher-in-charge of an outdoor society club for students, it is no wonder that Mr. Ismailia finds the sporty design of the Honda Jazz to be attractive. He explains, “Its design makes it a definite attention-getter. The students in the school I teach are all fans of my car.” As for the service he receives at Jimisar Corporation, Mr. Ismailia is full of praise, “Their service is very good. You’re treated like a friend here, rather than a customer – different from some of the other dealerships. Also, I never have to wait long for the servicing of my car, on average between two to three hours. A t e l e v i s i o n s e t a n d n e w s p a p e r s i n the waiting area, plus a chat with the friendly staff, who like me are also big fans of cars, soccer and mobile phones, help to ease the wait considerably. The technicians at Jimisar even call you a few days after your car has been serviced to find out if your car continues to run satisfactorily.” However, there is one thing that disappoints Mr. Ismailia. “Unlike the larger Malaysian cities like Kuala Lumpur, it’s Ismailia could be Kuching's biggest Jazz fan. truly unfortunate that we do not have a Honda Jazz club here in Kuching. I would love to meet fellow Honda Jazz enthusiasts, and find out about their experiences driving the Jazz,” Mr. Ismailia said. Friend for Life users’ voice “The handling (of the CR-V) is smooth, the seats are very comfortable, and my wife loves driving it too!” For as long as he can remember, Yussof Madat, a 54-year old retired Malaysian Airlines operations officer, had always known that he would own a Honda some day. And there are two reasons for this: first, he wants to support his childhood friend/secondary schoolmate of 40 years, Francis Kong, the General Manager of the Premier Motor (Honda) dealership in Labuan; second, because of his love for the Honda name. “To me, the brand sounds impressive, reliable and longlasting,” Mr. Madat explained. In 2004, Mr. Madat’s wish to own a Honda came true when he purchased a brand new, second generation CR-V. “I had my eye on the CR-V since the launch of the first generation, but was unsuccessful in meeting loan requirements and so had to postpone my purchase. But I assured Francis that I would get a CR-V some day,” said Mr. Madat with a smile. “I love to travel. As an airline employee, I was entitled to a free air ticket every year, and only had to pay 10 per cent of the fare for subsequent air tickets. Even with such perks, I found it hard to save at times,” Mr. Madat joked. Nonetheless, Yussof one cannot help but be amazed at all the places that Mr. Madat has been: Cairo, New Zealand, Jakarta, Bali, Medan, Balipapan, Bandung, Bangkok, Manila and Singapore. When asked if the CR-V met his expectations of Honda, Mr. Madat replied, “It is more reliable than my first car. The handling is smooth, the seats are very comfortable, and my wife loves driving it too!” Mr. Madat’s eldest son, a 26-year old university graduate working at the local port, recently purchased a used Honda Jazz a month back because he was unwilling to wait a few months for a brand new one. Mr. Madat added jokingly, “My second son is 16-years old and still in school. He likes sports cars. Maybe he’ll ask me to get him a Civic Type R when he’s old enough to drive.” Just like driving his CR-V is enjoyable, so is sending his Honda vehicles to Premier Motor when it’s time for routine servicing. Mr Madat explains, “When I come here, I get to catch up with my old friends. The waiting time isn’t long too, about less than an hour.” When asked what vehicle he was thinking of purchasing next, Mr. Madat Yussof Madat's dream to own a CR-V has come true. replied in an instant, “The new 2.0S Model Honda Civic. It has very attractive digital meters.” It’s easy to see the friendship Mr. Madat shares with the people at Premier Motor – and with Honda – will last for many years to come.
