“Today is a very historic day for
of the Civic Type R and Civic Hybrid,
Malaysia now has the same line-up of
8th Generation Civics as Japan…
(and is) the only country in Asia, outside
of Japan, that is making available for
customers this version of the Civic Type
R,” Fujimoto said.
The Civic Hybrid raises the standard
for advanced automotive technology,
and is built on the Honda dream of
developing a green vehicle that is gentle
on the environment yet uncompromising
in its design aesthetics and driving
pleasures.Intelligently employing
different valve timings through a 3-stage
i-VTEC engine and combining it with
H o nda’s f o u r t h - g e n e ration I M A
(Integrated Motor Assist) system, the
n e w H o n d a H y b r i d s y s t e m w o r k s
seamlessly with the 1.3 litre engine to
give out more power, better fueland
lower emissions – without
compromising an ounce of performance.
Honda’s Hybrid technology has
won 10 awards worldwide since 2005,
and this newest addition promises to
carry the torch forward.
Next, over at the white-knuckle end
of the motoring spectrum, is the latest
Honda Civic Type R.
Aiming to achieve unity of man and
machine for the ultimate driving experience,
the All New Civic Type R represents
15 years of technological progress
and is the latest expression of Honda’s
Racing Spirit.
Equipped with a specially tuned 2.0-
litre normally aspirated engine matched
to a 6-speed close ratio manual transmission
with limited slip differential, the
Civic Type R sports a lighter and more
r i g i d b o d y s h e l l , s p e c i a l l y t u n e d
suspension, 18-inch tires and large 17-
inch front disc brakes.

to bring the Civic Hybrid and Civic Type
R to Malaysia.
“Both the Civic Type R and Civic
Hybrid are the epitome of Honda’s

technology, innovation and commitment

Chief Engineer for Civic, I am very proud
to bring two of the most technologically
advanced vehicles to Malaysia,” Tokita
said. “I am
that both models
will set new benchmarks in performance
vehicle and green vehicle respectively
in Malaysia.”
The All New Civic Type R (in Championship
White) and Civic Hybrid (in
Fluorite Silver Metallic) are now open for
bookings at all Honda Showrooms
throughout Malaysia, with viewings at
select Honda authorized dealers.
