CYLINDER MUSIC BOX WITH 3 BELLS
Plays 8 tunes
Swiss cylinder box of the late 19th century. The music is played on a
standard music comb. In addition there are three bells. Each bell has an
ornate striker in the form of a butterfly.
Dimensions are 1'6" high (lid open), 1'6" wide, and 11" deep. The
box plays but it needs redampering and some work on the gear train.
To compensate for this we offer it for a 5150 or more discount from
what comparable boxes usually bring. It is a relatively inexpensive way
to "try your hand" at music box repairing that you may have read
about if you have a copy of "The Cylinder Music Box Handbook," or
"Collecting Music Boxes and How to Repair Them." If you don't yet
have these books, see our books-for-sale section in this catalogue. Better
yet, on request we'll give you both books free with the purchase of this
box! $299.00 (Stock 1\0. CYL-2404)
The Paillard name meant Quality way
back in the "good old days" - just as
it does today. Consider this lovely
Paillard 3-bell box. What other
antique costing less than $500 would
be half as much fun for everyone?
PAILLARD 3-BELL BOX
Made by Paillard circa 1895, probably for the American market as
the colorful tune card bears the name "Columbia - Bells in Sight." The
ten melodies are composed mainly of old standards, most of which are
still familiar today. Included are "Blue Danube," "After the Ball,"
"Auld Lang Syne," "Home Sweet Home," and others.
Measurements are: 1'6" high (lid open), 1'6" wide, and 11" deep.
The box is attractive and plays well. Net $449.00 (Stock No.
