Some oj the most important figures in global agribusiness serve on tht
the National FFA Foundation Sponsors' Board. These very busy
people devote precious time, energy and support to the foundation,
which raised $7.1 million for FFA and agricultural education.

Three national FFA sponsors were honored for outstanding
support with the Distinguished Service Citation. Pictured left to

Marilyn Kourilsky, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; and
Robert Ratliffi AGCO Corporation.
Thousands of agribusinesses, associations and individuals
give life to the many award and program areas of the
National FFA Foundation. However, a few supporters
each year are recognized for giving extraordinary levels of
time, energy and funding, some for over a half-century.
The National FFA Organization takes its hat off to these
special companies, and awarded them the Distinguished
Service Citation during Thursday afternoons session.
• AGCO Corporation of Duluth, Ga,, has supported the National FFA
Organization for 51 years. In addition to financial contributions, the
company has provided leadership to the National FFA Foundation Sponsors'
Board. AGCO has hosted tours for 20 years and issued a limited-edition toy
tractor as an FFA fund-raiser.
• Babson Bros. Co./SURGE of Naperville, III, has sponsored such events as
Agricultural Sales & Service and Dairy Judging Career Development Events
as well as Collegiate Scholarships during its 20 years of support to
agricultural education and the FFA. The company has also provided
leadership to the National FFA Foundation Sponsors' Board.
• Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Inc., Ewing Marion Kauffman
Foundation of Kansas City, Mo., earned this distinction through financial
and technical assistance to the FFA and The Council. Their support of the
Agri-Entrepreneurship Award Program has allowed students from 38 of the
54 state associations to experience the spirit of free enterprise and develop-
ment of creative entrepreneurship and innovation.
