IAS MEMBERSHIP IAS Membership In 1990, the Institute of Advertising Singapore was approved and registered by the Singapore Registrar of Societies. During April of the same year, it was inaugurated at the World Trade Centre Club by the Honourable Mr Mah Bow Tan (the then Minister of State for Trade & Industry and Communications & Information) Reflecting the organisation’s current efforts to stay relevant and contribute positively to its membership body, the IAS strives to create a distinct and favorable identity for its members, akin to that enjoyed in other professions. MEMBERSHIP TYPES ORDINARY Open to executives working directly in advertising and related industries. Entrance Fee : S$100 Annual Subscription : S$100 STUDENTS A prerequisite for attending IAS courses Entrance Fee : S$50 Annual Subscription : S$50 MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS Upon receipt of an Ordinary Membership Card and payment of dues, the member is entitled to use the designation MIAS, which represents Member of the Institute of Advertising Singapore. A special rate at monthly seminars or forums organised by IAS to keep practitioners updated on relevant industry developments. These will include courses of special interest and degree programmes with overseas universities, for example: Graduate Diploma in Marketing Communications — done in conjunction with the Marketing Institute of Singapore and the Institute of Public Relations, Singapore.
