MEGA LOCAL JOB FAIR
The Mega Local Job Fair is bringing job opportunities to a bigger, city wide scale.
About 40-50 companies are gathered in one big venue to offer their job vacancies to
jobseekers. Job vacancies available range from entry level to top management positions.
The venue was at the Cebu City Sport Complex gym because of its strategic location. It is
located in the heart of the city that made it accessible for the employers and jobseekers as
well. The Mega Local Job Fair is conducted once every quarter.
In 2014, there were three (3) mega job fairs conducted by DMDP. The 4 th quarter
mega local job fair was cancelled last minute as precautionary measure due to the typhoon
that was expected in the city during that period.

The job fairs had total job vacancies available of 10,694 from the different
participating companies and total registered applicants of 2,282 with 497 HOTS or
21.78% of the total number of applicants.
DMDP has continuously monitored the status of job applicants thereafter and the
same are regularly reported to DOLE.
