Breakthrough products for hospital intensive care (ICU):
(1) AirVent - Effective ETT biofilm cleaning integrated in a closed suction system. Biofilm
buildup clogs ETT tubes, increase risk of VAP and decrease air patency of the ETT lumen. The
AirVent Closed Suction System incorporates new lumen cleaning capabilities combination
with conventional suction action within the familiar closed suction framework.
(2) PoliVent – VAP infection prevention with novel non-inflatable self-expanding cuff of
Endo-tracheal tubes. All present ETT inflatable cuff balloon systems fail to effectively
prevent leak of infected oral fluids considered the primary source of VAP infection in ICU.
All present ETT cuff pressure is unstable require repeated adjustments by ICU nurse. For
the first time, the Poliventreplace the balloon with a new fluids blocking cuff system. The
PoliVent ETT cuff is self-expanding with no need of air inflation and no need of repeated
pressure monitoring and adjustment by the ICU nurse, and providing continuous stable
blocking of infected fluids leak.
