TriSys was designed to be reliable, robust, scalable and fast. It achieves
this by using a Microsoft SQL Server relational database management
system (RDBMS) engine.
SQL Server can support any sized database and any number of concurrent
user connections. It can thus scale according to the power of the underlying
hardware platform.
The TriSys database schema has been designed in such a way that the
database is 'normalised'. The data is not duplicated, and it relies upon
referential integrity to ensure that the database records remain accessible
and efficient to maintain.
The database is accessed by a series of powerful software layers which
provide solid and reliable services to TriSys users. The diagram below
