Due to <strong>the</strong> aforementi<strong>on</strong>ed problems regarding data quality of <strong>the</strong> substituti<strong>on</strong> registry<br />

it has not been regarded as sensible to update <strong>the</strong> estimate presented in last year’s<br />

report of <strong>the</strong> total number of people undergoing drug related treatment based <strong>on</strong><br />

DOKLI and OST data (<strong>the</strong> result for 2008 is given in GÖG/ÖBIG 2009b: 17 000<br />

pers<strong>on</strong>s). It is safe to assume, however, that <strong>the</strong> respective figures will not have<br />

changed significantly within <strong>on</strong>e year.<br />
