3.1.5.1 Downlink Budget<br />
An example link budget for an elevation of 20° is shown in Figure 27. With Tx- and Rxaperture<br />
diameters of 5 and 50 cm respectively, the calculated link margin is about 4 dB.<br />
The scintillation loss (estimated to be -2 dB) can be mitigated by channel coding.<br />
