4.4 Consumption and trade in the ETCs<br />
4.4.1 Armenia<br />
Total consumption of milk and dairy products in Armenia is some 150 kg/head.<br />
Imports of yogurt, milk powder, cheese and butter supplement domestic production.<br />
The majority of imports are from Ukraine. The only product that is exported in any<br />
quantity is cheese, and even here exports have fallen, to less than 500 tons in 2008.<br />

4.4.2 Azerbaijan<br />
<strong>Milk</strong> product consumption levels in Azerbaijan are slightly higher than in neighbouring<br />
Armenia, at 170 kg/head. Exports of dairy products are nonetheless almost nonexistent,<br />
and fell to very low levels in 2008. Imports are more significant, and liquid<br />
milk, yogurt, cheese, butter and milk powder are all traded.<br />
