Anne Arundel Community
College is among the nation’s best.
In 2011, the college received the
National Innovation of the Year
Award for its Student Success 2020
Summit. In 2010, in a survey conducted
by the Chronicle of Higher
Education, AACC was voted as the
best colleges in the U.S. to work for.
The programs offered by the college
range from special classes for children to senior classes. The
school offers two-year degrees in a variety of fields. AACC has also
partnered with select four year Maryland colleges to offer undergraduate
and graduate degrees through the AACC University

Severna Park High School, which currently enrolls 1921
students in grade 9-12, has been recognized in Maryland and nationally
for excellence in academics and athletics, as well as being
known for its Falcon Band and Orchestra and it perennial favorite
musical production—Rock ‘n Roll Revival. SPHS was built in 1959,
with renovations in 1973 and 1982. The school has been recognized
as a Maryland Blue Ribbon School, as well as a national
Blue Ribbon School. This program recognizes schools for making
significant progress is closing the achievement gap.

Severna Park Middle School, which opened in 1967, now enrolls

the middle school, is a national and Maryland Blue Ribbon School.
