PERSONAL: Born November 18, 1972.<br />
XTERRA EXPERIENCE: Eighth year.<br />
RACING ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 2-time Ironman Champion,<br />
5-time Australian National Champion, held world number one<br />
ranking in long course triathlons from March - May ‘99 and May<br />
- October 2000. Over 70 worldwide professional race wins,<br />
and 10 top 5 Ironman finishes.<br />
2005: Placed 7th at the XTERRA USA Championship<br />
where he posted the fastest run, and was 5th at the<br />
XTERRA World Championship in Maui.<br />
2006: Finished 3rd at the XTERRA USA Championship<br />
and had the fastest run there for second straight year.<br />
DNF’d in Maui at World Champs.<br />
2007: Finished 4th at the XTERRA World Championship<br />
and posted the fastest run.<br />
LAST YEAR: Won the XTERRA Australia Championship<br />
back in April, was 7th at XTERRA USA Championship with<br />
the fastest run, and 10th at XTERRA Worlds.<br />
THIS YEAR: First XTERRA.<br />
MAUI PASTS: Placed 10th last year. In 2007, propelled by<br />
the fastest run split of the day (43:53) he passed eight guys<br />
to finish 4th overall, his best finish in Maui. It’s the second<br />
time Legh has had the fastest run of the day in Maui (also<br />
in 2003). Did not finish in 2006, placed 5th and had the<br />
second fastest run time in 2005, was 15th overall in 2004,<br />
and set the run course record in 2003 with a 36:32 11k.<br />
Finished 15th in 1999, and 12th in 1998.<br />
