cleaning up areas already ground with rougher diamond grits. The Lapi-T
wheels leave a clean surface that can be left “as-is” or moved to a polish with

Expanding Drums
Expanding Drums come in 1-1/2" wide, 2-1/2" wide, and 3" wide drums. Belts slip
over the drum and when it spins, the drum expands and locks the belt in place.
They must spin at a minimum of 1720RPM to expand. Arbor holes are standard 1"
with bushings down to 3/4", 5/8", and 1/2".

When making drinking glasses out of cut liquor bottles, it's very important to
put a slight bevel on the interior and exterior part of the rim. Normally this
bevel does not have to be that large, just enough to take the sharp edge of the rim.
This can be easily accomplished with a resin based smoothing cone for the interior
bevel and a fine grit belt on a belt sander or expanding drum for exterior bevel. If
you're looking for a larger bevel, you'll want to start with an electroplated cone for
heavier removal of glass, then move to a smoothing cone for the finish work.

Sintered core drills work more efficiently and are less prone to damage when they
have a center water feed. The DHA chucks into your drill press and allows water
to flow through the middle of the drill keeping glass debris flushed from the drilling
area. Use only with submersible pump system.
You can also use a Straight Shank Adaptor with the sintered core drills. The

Sintered core drills work more efficiently and are less prone to damage when used
with a center water feed. The DHA chucks into your drill press and allows water
to flow through the middle of the drill keeping glass debris flushed from the drilling
area. Use only with submersible pump system on page 27.
You can also use a Straight Shank Adaptor with the sintered core drills. The
adaptor is a small metal shaft that screws onto the sintered core drill and allows
you to chuck the drill directly into the drill press without a center water feed.

One of the biggest problems with using core drills is the chipping on the entry
point and probable blowout on the exit. To minimize this on your critical
pieces, you need to utilize stacking wax and wax scrap glass to the top and bottom
of your piece before drilling. Works best on flat surfaces. Bonding expendable sheet
glass to protect your glass project.

Diamond Points
Diamond points are used for many things from engraving glass to removing small unwanted shards from castings to even
shaping and putting holes in your glass and signing your work with most ball shapes. They generally give a fantastic amount
of control over the grinding process and enable you to work with extreme precison. We offer several different types of diamond
points with two main diamond types. The first group are Brazed Diamond Points. A process similar to electroplating in that
there is a single layer of diamond on a shaped steel head. Unlike regular electroplating though, brazing is a much harder type of
plating that keeps the diamond embedded in the nickel longer and allows for a much longer lifespan on the tool.
Our second type of diamond point is a sintered diamond. On these points, the entire shaped head of the tool is a diamond
metal matrix. As the point wears down it will expose new diamond and continue to cut at a consistent rate on the glass.
These are longer lasting points that then brazed points, but are also more susceptible to heat. It is highly recommended to run
sintered diamond points with water to keep the point cool as you work.

After you’ve ground down an area with the plated EverRun bands, move next

One of our favorite tools is our little sintered diamond slitters. These all come
with a standard 1/8" shank and the slitters come in 1", 1-1/2", and 2" diameter.
The entire structure of the slitter is all sintered diamond so they can be used to slice
through glass or grind on the surface of the slitter. These are great for sprues or
cutting rims off larger vessels. Slitters are permanently mounted on 1/8" shafts.

Wheel Flattener
About the only complicated
thing about a Rociprolap
is when the pan finally starts to
wear down and your pieces are
no longer grinding flat. Sure you
can send the plate out and have
it blanchard ground (a service
we also provide through the
manufacturer), but sometimes it’s
easier to do routine maintenance
on your pan and avoid the hassle
and headache of shipping your
pan off to be ground down.
Our Sintered Diamond wheel
flattener works with all 24 inch
Rociprolaps. Simply put the
flattener in the Rociprolap with
some water and a pinch of grit
to get it started. Add barbell
weights onto the center handle
for additional weight, and a ring
to keep it along the side. Allow
the flattener to run and it will
keep your pan flat. Running this
for a few hours every month or
two to maintain pan flatness is
a great way to make sure your
work is always the best it can be.

Hang Your Glass - Round Stand Offs
best for mounting Panels
Ideal for panels and larger artwork Hang Your Glass recommends that you use the round stand-offs. The round standoffs
are designed to have more than one stand-off holding the piece of glass art to the wall. Typically four stand-offs are
used on square panels. For larger panels increase the diameter of the stand-off, see chart for more detailed information.
Generally, anything over 10" X 10" will need more than one stand-off to equally float the glass off the wall. You want
to place the stand-offs close enough to the edges that you can get your hand behind the work while installing it.
Adhesive sold separately. All round stand-off sets are sold in sets of four. Includes bracket and fasteners.

Hang Your Glass - Locking Stand Offs
best for small projects
All locking stand-offs are sold in individual units with the brackets and screws. Use one locking stand-off per piece
of artwork. Ideally, the locking stand-offs are designed to hold any shape less than 9" X 9" and less than 5lbs. The
locking stand-offs are available in four lengths and are great for layering and larger compositions.
Hang Your Glass designed the locking stand-off so that only one should be used on a piece of glass. If your glass is
larger than 10" x 10" then you should consider using the Round or Super Duty stand-offs.

Nesting stand-offs are used for glass to glass applications. The two most common techniques are using the standoffs
to stack multiple firings of glass and or to hide make an overlapping seam to make a multiple firings appear as one
single piece of glass.

The super duty stand-off is a popular style for all glass mediums. Originally the super duty stand-offs were designed
for the glassblower who can have larger heavier pieces with only one attachment point. The super duty stand-off
