ON OUR $7.5 GOAL!<br />
Straight from the Heart -<br />
Capital Campaign Cabinet:<br />
Thanks to the efforts <strong>of</strong> over<br />
100 volunteers, over 800 donors,<br />
and our great staff, we have<br />
surpassed the $10 million mark in<br />
our community capital campaign.<br />
Our <strong>YMCA</strong> Board <strong>of</strong> Directors<br />
passed a motion at their last<br />
meeting in 2006 to thank our Chair<br />
Larry Pollock and the Campaign<br />
Cabinet for their terrific success.<br />
The impact <strong>of</strong> this work will<br />
positively impact the lives <strong>of</strong><br />
children and families for decades<br />
to come.<br />
Having surpassed our goal, the<br />
<strong>YMCA</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Edmonton</strong> will receive a<br />
$500,000 challenge grant from the<br />
U.S. – based Kresge Foundation.<br />
We are only the third Canadian<br />
<strong>YMCA</strong> to receive a Kresge<br />
Foundation grant.<br />
