a 3 . The shape of the building should be compact with a length to width ratio of the floor<br />

less than or equal to four (4) (cf.fig.3.2). The sum of the dimensions of the re-entrant<br />

parts and setbacks in a given direction should not exceed 25% of the global dimension<br />

of the building in that direction (cf.fig.3.3).<br />

a 4 . The floors should have sufficient in plane rigidity in regard to that of the vertical<br />

bracing elements to be considered as rigid in their plane. In this case, the total area of<br />

the floor openings should be less than 15% of that of the floor.<br />
