4.2.4 Estimation of the fundamental period of the structure<br />

1. The value of the fundamental period (T) of the structure can be estimated from<br />

empirical formulae or can be calculated by numerical or analytic methods.<br />

2. The empirical formula recommended is the following:<br />

C T : coefficient, function of the lateral force resisting system and of the type of infill It is<br />
