Corporate Commission<br />

The Corporate Commission develops and manages businesses that help the <strong>Mille</strong> <strong>Lacs</strong> <strong>Band</strong><br />

diversify its economy and create jobs. Its responsibilities include managing Grand Casino<br />

<strong>Mille</strong> <strong>Lacs</strong>, Grand Casino Hinckley, and other <strong>Band</strong>-owned businesses, such as<br />

convenience stores, a grocery store, and a cinema.<br />

The Corporate Commission also works to identify other business opportunities for investment<br />

and/or development. The Corporate Commission Board is responsible for overseeing these<br />

business and economic development decisions for the <strong>Band</strong>. Current board members are<br />

Dale Greene Sr., Ron Anderson, Arlene Weous, Joanne Whiterabbit, and Al<strong>of</strong> Olson.<br />

TRIBAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT (TCD) OFFICE<br />

The TCD Department is a resource for:<br />

• Enrolled <strong>Mille</strong> <strong>Lacs</strong> <strong>Band</strong> members who are employed at Grand Casino <strong>Mille</strong> <strong>Lacs</strong>, Grand<br />

Casino Hinckley, the Corporate Commission, or a Corporate-owned small business.<br />

TCD provides programs and services to help enhance pr<strong>of</strong>essional skills and knowledge for<br />

current job success or for career advancement. TCD can also assess and make<br />

recommendations for overcoming barriers while providing guidance to <strong>Band</strong> members to<br />

help them achieve their goals and dreams.<br />

The TCD staff develops a relationship with <strong>Band</strong> members to assist them in accessing<br />

current training programs and opportunities <strong>of</strong>fered by the <strong>Band</strong>’s Education Department,<br />

Grand Casino <strong>Mille</strong> <strong>Lacs</strong>, Grand Casino Hinckley, and the Corporate Commission’s Education<br />

and Performance Department.<br />
