CPR Classes<br />
CPR classes are <strong>of</strong>fered to <strong>Band</strong> members and staff on the latest life-saving techniques for<br />
infants, children and adults. The classes include information on responding to choking,<br />
CPR, rescue breathing techniques, airway/breathing/circulation (ABC), and check/call/care<br />
procedures. Certifications are given after the successful completion <strong>of</strong> the course. Please<br />
call a month in advance if you will need this service. Class sizes <strong>of</strong> six only will be <strong>of</strong>fered<br />
with staff availability.<br />

Child Birth Education Classes<br />
Public <strong>Health</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers child birth education classes to help you understand the normal birthing<br />
process, medical interventions associated with child birth, comfort measures, as well as<br />
breastfeeding basics, postpartum care, and newborn care and safety.<br />

Parenting Education<br />
Children do not come with an instruction book, and parenting can be challenging. Public<br />
health staff can meet with parents to provide age-specific parenting education, explain<br />
developmental stages that children go through, and discuss alternative ways to discipline<br />
children.<br />
