FEATURES:• Compact design that is rugged, lightweight, and easy to use• On-board analog to digital conversion for artifact-freerecordings• 28 AC channels• On-board impedance checking and calibrations at theamplifier system• CompactFlash ® memory card with rechargeable battery• Limited Lifetime Warranty on Grass-Telefactor manufacturedparts (see our full warranty for details)AURA24 (Ambulatory Universal Recording Amplifier) is thenewest amplifier system from Grass-Telefactor with afront-end sampling rate of 400 Hz. The28-channel system has the capabilityof recording data for 24-hours withthe rechargeable battery pack. There are 2 reference inputs and 2ground inputs. The redundantreferences and grounds providereliability and signal integrityduring EEG monitoringprocedures.Data is recorded to aremovableCompactFlashmemory card. Thecompact andlightweight design of AURA24 offers maximum patientcomfort, without sacrificing the ruggedness required forambulatory studies. The data stored on the AURA24 transfers to the hostcomputer with Grass-Telefactor TWin ® software via theUSB CompactFlash Reader. A Patient Event Markerpushbutton is provided. The amplifier system provides for patient safety isolation, signal conditioning (physiological signal amplification andfiltering), and digitization. Communications with a hostcomputer are accomplished using TCP/IP protocol overan Ethernet network or dedicated cable. While the patientis being setup, the AURA24 (via the base station)connects to the host PC for initializing the recording, selecting the record montage, checking impedances, entering patient information, and monitoring the quality ofEEG signals. Once done, the AURA24 is disconnectedfrom the base, the patient is sent home, and data willrecord to the built-in CompactFlash. Once the 24 hours ofdata is transferred from the CompactFlash to the reviewstation, the study can be processed with Grass-Telefactorproven seizure and spike detection software foridentifying events of interest. This, along with eventsmarked with the patient pushbutton, helps reduce theamount of data which needs to be reviewed. An intuitive userinterface with LCDscreen is present withthe base station. Fromthe base station itself, the technologist is ableto implement suchfeatures as electrodeimpedance checking, amplifier calibration, and photic stimulatorcontrol. Also from theAURA24: L-R, Patient-worn pouch, basestation and amplifier/battery packLCD display it is possible to obtain information such asconnection status to the host computer. The same AURA24 ambulatory system can be used forin-lab recordings when connected to the host PC,including optional photic stimulation, pulse oximetry, additional DC channels, etc. Data is recorded to the PCshard disk or a server.Grass-Telefactor manufactures a full line of EEG andLong-term Epilepsy recording instruments and ReviewWorkstations. The TWin software is easy-to-use, providingdata acquisition, recording, and review capabilities in oneflexible package.Grass-Telefactor amplifiers are world-renowned in thefield of neurophysiology for their quality, reliability, simplicity, and serviceability. A wide range of accessoriesand options designed specifically for the EEG monitoringis also available.SUPPORT & SERVICEAll Grass-Telefactor instrumentation is backed by a strongsupport staff ready to respond to all of your needs.Technical support is available 24 hours a day,7 days a week.
