Pick up all excised tissues with the forceps, and place in a labelled bottle withformalin to send to the histopathology laboratory.16. Perform an endocervical curettage and place the tissue in a separate bottle withformalin.17. Fulgurate any bleeding tissue in the crater base using a ball electrode andcoagulation current.18. Apply Monsel’s paste to the crater base to prevent further bleeding and removethe speculum.After the procedure19. Provide a sanitary pad.Annex 9Monsel’s paste20.
