BOOKINGDUBLIN 2011: Trip Winners shared fun, festivities and business-building tips!Dublin trip winners stayed busy seeing the sites in Ireland, tasting the local fare, touring castles, participating in the St.Patrick’s Day Parade and looking for a leprechaun or two! Inspite of their active schedule, they still found time to shareideas with each other. Here are a few of the booking ideasthat surfaced during those exchanges. We’ve indicatedthe Park Laner who shared the idea and the Park Lanerwho submitted it as a technique they liked and planned toincorporate into their own business.A Booking Idea from Don FuntTo encourage impromptu shows, Don offers to bring the pizza and pop if they can gather together a few friends to seethe jewelry. Makes having a show super easy for the hostess.Submitted by Kay DemmerA Booking Idea from Valorie MorrisMidway through the “fashion show”, pass out Thank You Award brochures to each guest and have them look closely atit. You can explain that anyone who books a show can receive one of the items for the $10 fee, our offer on Star Oneof the Five Star plan…. OR, you can decide to pick up the fee yourself and announce that, as a “special this month”YOU will give anyone who books a show their choice of one of the Thank You Award items “for free”. “FREE” is agreat power word!Submitted by Lysa BryantFrom: A Booking Idea from Jenean TrippTo generate creative bookings outside of her shows, Jenean finds that wearing a “wow” piece(s) of jewelry when sheis out and about will start conversation with ladies who love jewelry. This gives her the opportunity to say she is “witha company that gives this away free!” Then she says, “Would you be interested in getting some? (Or) … getting thisone free?”Submitted by Shirley HamiltonA Booking Idea from Connie BlankenshipConnie picks a specific destination from the Get Up & Go Vacation brochure. She selects a place fairly close to homewhere she knows most people would love to go. She lives in TN so she tells her hostess when she gets 3 bookings;she will give her and 3 of her friends a trip to Gatlinburg.Submitted by Shirley HamiltonA Booking Idea from Sherri ThorntonPlace one $50 HRC in each of three boxes. Gift-wrap each box so it looks pretty. Wrap a separate box containingjewelry you have reserved for the Hostess. At the beginning of the show, ask the guests, “Who wants a box?” Giveout the boxes to those that respond; but tell them NOT to open the box they are holding. For the “game”…Tell theguests that they can then TAKE any box away from anyone except the Hostess. After your booking talk, ask everyonewith a box if they want to keep what’s in the box they are holding. Tell those with a box that in order to keep it they canbook their own show and when three DO book a show, their Hostess gets to keep her box too!Submitted by Victoria MillerThank you to all who shared ideas.Watch for more ideas to appear in Park Lane future publications!10 The Network
