Jack arrangedfor Lancashire vice-captain, John Abrahams, to accept theposition at <strong>Weston</strong> <strong>Creek</strong>. John's arrival in Canberra heralded thestart of a new era in the development of cricket in <strong>Weston</strong> <strong>Creek</strong>which raised the <strong>Club</strong>'s profile, and made it a major force in ACTcricket.GEOFF SMITH, the man responsible for sponsoring the firstoverseas cricketer to come to Canberra.
