Home Help Weekly Benefit $25027 Student Tutorial Weekly Benefit $250PARENTS’ INCONVENIENCE ALLOWANCE28 Parents’ Inconvenience Allowance – per day $50Up to a maximum <strong>of</strong> $1,50010.3 WEEKLY BENEFITSa maximum <strong>of</strong> $1,500 for reimbursement10.3.1 Weekly Benefits Excess - 30 days.<strong>of</strong> expenses incurred for travelling, child10.3.2 Weekly Benefit Period - One Hundred and 4(104) weeks maximum.minding or other out-<strong>of</strong>-pocket expensesincurred whilst an insured child is hospitalised10.4 DEFINITIONSarising from an insured event.10.4.1 Home Help Weekly Benefit10.4.4 Total Disablement10.4.1.1 The insurer will pay for the cost <strong>of</strong> hiring helpand/or child minding services reasonablyand necessarily incurred by an InsuredPerson as a result <strong>of</strong> injury from an insuredevent causing temporary total disablement.Provided that:a) Such child minding services andnursing help are carried out by personsother than members <strong>of</strong> the Insured10.4.4.1 Total disablement means disablement whichentirely prevents an Insured Person fromattending to business or occupation <strong>of</strong> anyand every kind other than motorcycling, orif the Insured Person has no business oroccupation other than motorcycling, fromengaging in an occupation for which theInsured Person is reasonably qualified byeducation, training or experience.Person’s family or other relatives or 10.4.5 Non Medicare Medical Expensespersons permanently living with theInsured Person.b) Such child minding services and helpare certified by a legally qualifiedmedical practitioner as being necessaryfor the recovery <strong>of</strong> the Insured Person.10.4.5.1 Reasonable medical expenses necessarilyincurred by an Insured Person as a result <strong>of</strong>injury(s) that are:a) not subject to any full or partialMedicare rebate or benefit,b) incurred within twelve calendar monthsc) Payments will commence from the 14thday <strong>of</strong> treatment by a legally qualified<strong>of</strong> the Insured Person sustaining theinjury;medical practitioner.c) for treatment certified necessary by10.4.2 Student Tutorial Weekly Benefita qualified medical practitioner (other10.4.2.1 In respect <strong>of</strong> unmarried dependant children,the insurer will pay the cost <strong>of</strong> hiring homethan the Insured Person) and shallinclude:tutoring services reasonably and necessarilyincurred by an Insured Person as a result<strong>of</strong> injury from an insured event causingtemporary total disablement.i) Expenses incurred for treatmentby a physiotherapist, chiropractor,osteopath, specialist surgeon or anysimilar provider <strong>of</strong> medical services;Provided that:a) The Insured Person is registered as afull-time student.b) Such home tutoring services arecarried out by persons other thanmembers <strong>of</strong> the Insured Person’sfamily or other relatives or persons whoare full-time students.ii) Cost <strong>of</strong> medical supplies nototherwise insured;iii) Dental treatment, provided suchtreatment is necessary as a result <strong>of</strong>the injury, and is to otherwise soundand natural teeth, excluding first teethand dentures.Private health service costs e.g. hospital/surgeryc) Payments will commence from the 14thday <strong>of</strong> treatment by a legally qualifiedmedical practitioner.are not covered under the <strong>Motorcycling</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>Personal Accident Insurance policy.
