Free Assistant/Carer TicketsWhere a disabled supporter would find it unreasonablydifficult or impossible to access the Stadium and theservices offered, the club will allow the supporter to bringan assistant/carer free of charge if ‘proof of disability’documentation is provided. This applies to supporterswith all types of disability including mobility issues, visualimpairments, ambulant disabilities or learning difficulties.The assistant/carer should be capable of supporting thedisabled person’s needs in the event of an emergency.Proof of disability documentation includes:• Proof of entitlement to the middle or higher rate of theDisability Living Allowance (mobility or care component)• Proof of entitlement the Severe Disablement Allowanceor Attendance Allowance• A personal letter from your GP or care worker• A copy of registration documents which certifyRegistered Blind or Registered Partially Sighted status,or qualifying documentation from a registered opticianequivalent to registration requirementsPlease note that Orange/Blue disabled badges are notsufficient proof of disability.Facilities <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supporters</strong> using WheelchairsThere are up to 73 wheelchair places <strong>for</strong> home supportersand 14 places <strong>for</strong> away supporters, each with anassistant/carer if required.These are situated as follows:• North Stand – 25• East Stand – 18• West Stand – 15• South Stand (Away <strong>Supporters</strong>) – 14• South Stand (Home <strong>Supporters</strong>) – 15Wheelchair viewing is also available in hospitalityareas, subject to application). These places are chargedat the standard price <strong>for</strong> the disabled person usingthe wheelchair.<strong>Disabled</strong> supporters using the wheelchair places willbe charged the standard ticket price based on theirage category. The club’s Health and Safety policyrequires that disabled people who attend in a wheelchairremain in their wheelchair during the game.Facilities <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supporters</strong> withVisual ImpairmentsThe club has 12 fixed positions in the South West corner<strong>for</strong> visually impaired supporters, each with an assistant/carer if required. Match commentary is provided by thelocal Hospital Radio Service and headsets are availableif requested in advance of a fixture.Visually impaired supporters using this area will becharged the standard ticket price based on theirage category.<strong>Guide</strong> Dogs are permitted within the Stadium Bowl,however we recommend that supporters with <strong>Guide</strong> Dogscontact the <strong>Disabled</strong> Ticketing Co-Coordinator on0118 968 1006 or email disability@readingfc.co.uk be<strong>for</strong>ethe match so that we can discuss with them access tothe ground, facilities inside the ground and the welfareof the <strong>Guide</strong> Dog be<strong>for</strong>e, during and after the match.Facilities <strong>for</strong> Ambulant <strong>Disabled</strong> <strong>Supporters</strong>Ambulant <strong>Disabled</strong> supporters include individualswho use wheelchairs <strong>for</strong> outdoor mobility but are notnecessarily confined to their wheelchair, as well aspeople with walking difficulties and/or physicallyrestricting medical conditions.General match seating is available in accessible areas ofthe Stadium, please advise the Ticket Office at the timeof booking your seats.Specifically <strong>for</strong> supporters with severe AmbulantDisabilities, there are 100 places available <strong>for</strong> homesupporters and 6 places <strong>for</strong> away supporters, each withan assistant/carer if required. These seats have beenidentified as providing the easiest access with limitedsteps and/or have more legroom.Facilities <strong>for</strong> <strong>Supporters</strong> withLearning Difficulties<strong>Supporters</strong> with learning difficulties can normally beaccommodated in any part of the stadium in standardseating. However, if any person with a learning difficultyfeels that standard match seating would be unsuitable<strong>for</strong> them, they will be entitled to sit in one of the disabledsupporter areas, with an assistant/carer if required.How to book Match TicketsThroughout the season there may be some fixtures witha high demand <strong>for</strong> match tickets, in this instance ticketswill be initially offered to Members based on RoyaltyPoints status. Ticketing in<strong>for</strong>mation and prices areavailable online at readingfc.co.uk/ticketsTo book please call the <strong>Disabled</strong> Ticketing Co-Coordinatoron 0118 968 1006, the Ticket Office on 0844 249 1871or email disability@readingfc.co.ukParking FacilitiesThe Club offers 122 disabled parking spaces on site atMadejski Stadium. The majority of these spaces havebeen issued as season parking permits, however thereis limited matchday availability in the Orange <strong>Disabled</strong>car park to pay on the day (£5). Space is limited and isoffered on the day of the match on a first-comefirst-served basis to supporters who are in receipt of avalid Blue parking badge. 10% of spaces will be offeredto away supporters. Please note that badges will bechecked and the badge holder must be with the vehicle.Transport to Home and Away Matches<strong>Reading</strong> Football Club in conjunction with STARand Readibus, provide a door to door transportsystem to attend home and away matches<strong>for</strong> disabled supporters. Bookings canbe made via 0118 931 0000 up to7 days prior to the game.Please be aware that placesare limited.
