To make changes to an existing patch type:Click the Patch Types button in the Galaxy Configuration dialogbox.Select the patch type and click the Edit button to open the DefineCustom Patch Type dialog box.Alternately, you could simply double-click the patch type.Figure 2: Define Custom Patch Type Dialog BoxFill in the fields <strong>of</strong> the Define Custom Patch Type dialog box asfollows:NamePatches in BankRows/Columns inBankEnter the name <strong>of</strong> the patch type. This must be unique among allpatch types in your system. Therefore, put the device model numberin the name, for example, “DX7 Voices” or “MultiVerb Patches.”Enter the number <strong>of</strong> patches that the MIDI device stores <strong>of</strong> this type inits memory. Some devices can store more than one bank For example,there might be an internal bank and a bank stored in a card. In thatcase, enter the number <strong>of</strong> patches stored in one <strong>of</strong> those banks.These let you set the number <strong>of</strong> rows (count down the screen) and columns(count across the screen) in a bank window.
