SpotBox is an entry-level production solution running on the XT3 server platform. Designed for playback applications under
third-party control, it supports up to six video channels and a vast range of remote control protocols, making it simple to
integrate with most off-the-shelf automation systems, controllers and switchers. SpotBox benefits from the stability and
flexibility of EVS XT3 servers : 24/7 operation thanks to the RAID-secured storage and redundant hot-swappable power
supplies, SD and HD support, graphics playback and more.
SpotBox is a true VTR replacement that complements live studio production requirements. SpotBox can be directly
controlled by the production switcher play back clips, music, stills and graphics (with Key & Fill support), or loop
clips as a moving background. When used in an outside broadcast environment such as sports or events production,
SpotBox integrates perfectly into the existing workflow and can playback content imported from multiple environments :
graphics workstations, non-linear editors, or external drives (P2, XDCAM).
