The current range covered by the hire fleet, with seven vehicle categories, from the
Hymer Exsis, through the alcove vehicle with the emphasis firmly on the family, to the
luxuriously-designed integrated motorhome, offers customers a wide choice. The hire
vehicles are all covered by fully comprehensive insurance, are no more than two years
old, are perfectly maintained, have power-assisted steering, ABS and no limits to the
mileage travelled when under hire. All Hymer-rent vehicles are fully fitted out with the
range of equipment standard for the range and also have a radio cassette or CD player,
depending on the model, and a bicycle transport rack and awning.
The hire costs vary according to season and vehicle type, and are often lower than
expected. The best value price for a four-person vehicle in the early season is 59 euros
per day and the most expensive seven-metre motorhome for six persons in high
season is 135 euros per day. Apart from the one-off fixed-sum service fee of 115 euros
for the exterior cleaning of the vehicle, the provision of one fill of camping gas and
intensive instruction on handling the vehicle, a fully-equipped, modern Hymer
motorhome in the most reasonable price range costs from 14.75 euros per person per
day, rising to 22.50 euros per person per day in high season.
With such a choice of vehicles and great value prices, caravaning holidays are for many
people – including an increasing number of new customers – not only attractive but also
easily affordable.
This fact, plus the statistical facts and figures stated above, support and justify the
Hymer new model campaign introduced for the 2005 new season.
