3.3 Eriba-Living
As part of the Hymer 2005 product drive, the caravan sector has also been
substantially restructured. The most striking development is Eriba-Living, a completely
new range to replace the former Eriba-Swing.
The Eriba-Living is aimed specifically at young families and new prospective buyers
looking for a Hymer caravan which offers particularly good value for money. Bearing
these customer requirements in mind, Hymer has brought to life a completely new
range, equipped and fitted out accordingly.
For the 2005 season, the Eriba Living offers a total of twelve models with two
additional variants. Among them are particularly child-friendly models with bunk beds
or a special children’s area, as well as layouts with French bed or longitudinal single
beds. Quite exceptional are the three models with an overall width of 2.50 metres,
giving a welcome feeling of space.
Externally the side walls of the new Eriba-Living caravans gleam with their white-grey
textured metal. The body shell with its patented Hymer PUAL technology guarantees
all the advantages recognised by the market such as optimum stability and excellent
insulation values for winter use. The rear light moulding has been especially designed
for the Living range. The Jumper bracket at the rear allows for optimum handling. The
same applies to the drawbar, which has been extended and guarantees the best
possible handling. The gas bottle locker has generous space for storing two gas
bottles, a spare wheel, the wheel chocks and the crank for the steady jacks. The
opening and closing of the flap is assisted by a gas pressure spring.
The Living caravans are entered via an entrance door, practically designed to include a
wardrobe section (above) and storage shelf (below) on the inside. The furniture in
Ligurian alder wood finish is elegantly complemented by rounded elements in
aluminium-look, which are particularly attractive in the way they set off the overhead
