Her husband, Commander Dick Scobeewas one of the six astronauts who lost their lives in theChallenger space shuttle tragedy. She has written a bookabout her life before and after the Challenger 7 tragedycalled “Silver Lining.”We are now starting to prepare for our Veterans DayProgram on Friday, 11/11/11. All Anthem veterans whowould like to have your picture included in that part ofour event, and have not been included in our previousVeterans Day Program, you must take a copy of a personalphoto, preferably when you were on active duty, inuniform, to the UPS Store at 10624 S. Eastern Ave,Henderson, next to Smith’s Market. They will scan thepicture and return it to you.
