TOTALPAC ® XDatasheetFirecycle ® III Deluge systemDESCRIPTIONThis TOTALPAC ® X integrated fire protection system byFireFlex Systems Inc. consists of a multicycling Firecycle® IIIdeluge system trim totally pre-assembled, pre-wired andfactory tested. All electrical and mechanical components ofthe system are contained in one single unitTOTALPAC ® X multicycling deluge systems are built around theViking trim using flow control valves model H-3 for 1½" (40mm) diameter and model H-1 for 2" (50 mm) diameter andup.The Firecycle® III deluge system uses open type sprinklersand / or spray nozzles in the sprinkler piping which totallyflood an area with pressurized water. A detection network isused in parallel with the open type sprinkler / nozzles system.This network is electric and may be actuated by manual andrate-compensated temperature. When the detection systemoperates it gives an alarm and activates the Flow Controlvalve.In addition to automatically detecting a fire and turning thesystem on, Firecycle® III has the added ability to sense whenthe fire has been controlled, and automatically turn off thewater flow once a preprogrammed "Soak Timer" has beensatisfied. Should the fire rekindle, the control panel (suppliedby others) will initiate the sequence again. The flow control valve can be used to facilitatemanual or automatic on/off control. As an on/off controlvalve it may be used on deluge systems. The Viking flowcontrol valve is an integral part of the Viking Firecycle®System.Alarm pressure switchThe alarm pressure switch monitors the water flow withinthe sprinkler piping. Should the flow control valve clapperopens to allow water to flow into the sprinkler piping. Thealarm pressure switch will activate, indicating a water flowsignal.POTTERPS10-1ASolenoid valveThe high pressure solenoid valve is a two-way type withone inlet and one outlet. It is a packless, internal pilotoperated valve, suitable for use in releasing water pressurefrom the priming chamber of Viking deluge valves.
