For both insects,apply 1.5 ml Endosulphan per litre of water.‣ In this weather condition, in New Alluvial Zone of West Bengal, combined attack of downy mildew andmosaic may be seen in bitter gourd and pointed gourd; apply Redomil –MZ @ 2 g per litre of water.‣ In this weather condition in Terai Zone of West Bengal, if die back appears in chilli, spray the crop withPropiconazole @ 1 ml to litre of water or Blitox 4 g to litre of water. In this weather condition Phytophthoramay be a problem in betel vine; spray Mancozeb 64% + Matalaxyl 8% @ 1.5 g to litre of water.‣ Undertake plant protection measures after current spells of rain.‣ Stages of major crops are mentioned in Annexure I.Animal Husbandry‣ During this monsoon season there is a chance of black-quarter in Coastal Saline Zone of West Bengal; keepthe cattle clean and if this disease occur, promptly give penicillin and tetracycline and inoculate into the siteof lesion. Cattle may also be attacked by worm infection.
